I was born and raised in Washington State. I'm ethnically Chinese, which means, yes, I have a Chinese name.

This section used to be one long list, until I noticed people coming away thinking I'm a creature of eclectic interests and bygone arts, and realized, no, I need to correct this, the truth is far more boring.

Alas, everything interesting-sounding about me is purely aspirational; in reality I "just" read, run, and cook like everyone else.

Hobbies (Practicing)

I read all sorts of things! I believe fiction has as much merit as nonfiction, and the same goes for memes. My earliest aspirations were to become a children's novelist or a game developer, which I sometimes do on my alt blog.

I run just enough to stay fit. I CAN do a push-up. I CANNOT do a pull-up - I am actively training for this.

I love feeding people, and I'm working towards my repertoire of dishes that I can serve for anyone at a dinner party regardless of dietary restrictions and allergies.

Hobbies (Non-Practicing)

I have a Technician amateur radio license with callsign KK7ZYJ, which means I'm legally allowed to do radio things. To date I have done one (☝️) radio thing.

I rescued a sewing-and-embroidery machine from a dumpster and would love an excuse to use it. As far as hand-sewing goes, I've mended a few things! I'd love to make my own clothes someday, if a special enough occasion ever comes along.
